About Handy's

A father, a son, and an idea that became something much bigger.

Handy's didn't start with a big investment, a corporate office, or some grand plan to build a national company.

It started with a father and son.

In 2023, my dad, Peter, and I started Handy's Handyman Services here in Salt Lake City.

I'd spent years working in residential real estate, helping people buy and sell homes. And during that time, one thing became incredibly clear: finding reliable people to take care of those homes was a constant frustration.

Homeowners needed someone they could trust. Someone who would answer the phone, show up when they said they would, do quality work, and actually care about the experience they were providing.

It seemed like such a simple expectation. But we kept seeing how difficult it was for people to find.

So we decided to build a company around doing those things really well.

My dad and I came into this with different experiences and strengths, but a shared belief that we could create something special. Something that made life easier for homeowners while creating meaningful opportunities for the people who worked alongside us.

And what started as a small family business quickly became something much more personal.

We hired our first employee in 2024. Since then, we've had the opportunity to bring some incredible people into Handy's, serve thousands of homeowners, and watch this little idea grow into a team of people who depend on what we're building.

That's a responsibility I don't take lightly.

Because behind every Handy's uniform is a person with a family, goals, challenges, and a life outside of work. And behind every service appointment is a homeowner trusting us with one of the most important things they own.

Both matter.

Our mission is simple: We care for homes and the people that live inside them.

That mission goes beyond repairing drywall, replacing doors, or checking things off a to-do list.

We want to build lasting relationships with the homeowners we serve. We want you to know the people coming into your home. We want you to feel comfortable calling us when something needs attention, knowing there's a team on the other end that genuinely cares.

And as Handy's grows, we're committed to never losing sight of what got us here.

We'll make mistakes. We'll face challenges. We'll keep learning and improving. But we'll always be the kind of company that takes responsibility, stands behind its people, and works hard to earn your trust.

I'm incredibly proud of what my dad and I started, but even more proud of the people who are helping us build it today.

We're still writing our story, and every homeowner who chooses Handy's becomes a part of it.
